  • Built-in custodian wallets

Platform-managed custodian wallets for investors and issuers on EVM networks, Cardano and the XRP Ledger (enabled per deployment), so no third-party wallet is needed to invest. Centrifuge’s documentation states that investors invest from their own wallets.

    Custodian Wallet
  • Investors pay no network fees at checkout

When an investor pays from the custodian balance, gas is sponsored and billed to the offering’s issuer. Investors are never charged network fees for XRP Ledger transactions.

    How checkout works
  • Payment methods and currencies

Investors pay by card, bank wire, USDC or USDT on EVM, RLUSD or USDC on the XRP Ledger, or from their custodian balance. Card and wire payments settle in USD, EUR or GBP, chosen per offering.

    Investor guide
  • Structuring module

Offering-pack drafting software for issuers, with jurisdiction packs for the Cayman Islands (CIMA, published) and, in Beta pending counsel review, El Salvador (CNAD), the US (SEC Reg D / Reg S) and the EU (MiCA). Drafts are for review by your own counsel; it is not legal advice.

    Structuring
  • Distribution Hub to raise capital

An investor CRM and pipeline for your raise — contacts, organisations, campaigns and introductions — with optional Libby AI investor discovery, enrichment and matching. Centrifuge states multi-chain distribution and DeFi integrations; a CRM is not publicly stated.

    Distribution Hub
  • Co-listing across Libertum marketplaces

Through the Ecosystem Directory, an issuer can ask other Libertum-powered marketplaces to host its approved offering. Once a host accepts, that platform’s investors can invest through the same token and cap table — more reach without a second issuance. Centrifuge distributes across chains and DeFi; co-listing on partner marketplaces is not publicly stated.

What is Centrifuge?

Centrifuge describes itself as open infrastructure for on-chain asset management. Its documentation describes the Centrifuge Protocol as open-source and built on immutable smart contracts, using a hub-and-spoke model: one hub chain handles management, accounting, pricing and NAV, while spoke chains issue ERC-20 share tokens and ERC-4626 or ERC-7540 vaults. Share tokens can carry transfer hooks for compliance and restrictions, and cross-chain transfers use burn-and-mint.

Managers operate products through a Management app, investors invest from their own wallets, and curators manage on-chain allocation. Its documentation states that each product remains the responsibility of its manager, and lists DeFi integrations such as Sky, Aave and Morpho. The protocol overview says it is live on 12 blockchains; the deployments page names 11 mainnet networks.

What is Libertum?

Libertum is a tokenization software company. Its platform, T-Suite, lets issuers and asset managers create, offer and manage tokens on EVM networks, Cardano and the XRP Ledger, under their own brand on the plans that include the white-label platform.

Optional add-ons cover investor distribution (Distribution Hub and Libby AI), document preparation (Structuring, Beta), fund administration software (Funds) and stablecoins (Stablecoin Studio). Pricing is published on the plan page, which is authoritative.

Libertum, S.A. de C.V. holds an El Salvador Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) licence from the CNAD, registry entry PSAD-0094. It covers custody, exchange and transfer of USDT and USDC and receipt and transmission of client orders, has effect in El Salvador only, and does not authorise issuance. Libertum is not a broker-dealer, an alternative trading system or a transfer agent of record. Every offering also receives a publicly verifiable Smart Contract Certificate, which is Libertum’s own technology certificate, not a regulatory approval.

Centrifuge focuses on fund products and DeFi composability; Libertum focuses on a branded issuance platform with permissioned tokens across three ledger families.

Which should you choose?

Centrifuge and Libertum both serve asset managers but take different approaches to standards, distribution and the investor experience.

  • Centrifuge is likely the better fit if you are launching a tokenized fund that should plug into DeFi protocols through ERC-4626/ERC-7540 vaults, or need a broad set of EVM networks.
  • Centrifuge is also likely the better fit if you want an open-source, immutable protocol core with on-chain accounting, and plan to build your own frontend with its SDK.
  • Libertum is likely the better fit if you want ERC-3643 permissioned tokens with identity-based compliance, a ready-made platform under your own brand and domain, and published pricing.
  • Libertum is likely the better fit if you need Cardano or XRP Ledger issuance, an investor CRM, or fund-administrator software in which the administrator stays NAV calculation agent and transfer agent (Funds).

Can I move an existing token to Libertum?

Libertum’s Token Import brings an existing token into T-Suite. On supported EVM networks it accepts ERC-3643, ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens; Cardano and XRP Ledger tokens can be imported read-only. Every import starts as Mirror: a read-only cap table and history, with no ability to move, mint or freeze anything. For an EVM token, the issuer can then move to Operate by granting Libertum the roles shown in the app, or by handing control to their organisation’s custodian wallet. Whether a specific token qualifies depends on its contract and network, so we check it with you first.

Centrifuge share tokens are ERC-20 according to its documentation. A share token on a network Libertum supports may be importable, but Centrifuge vaults, hub accounting and cross-chain logic would not come with it, and eligibility depends on the specific contract.

Watch: importing an existing token

A short T-Suite demo of Token Import: the token arrives read-only as Mirror, and an EVM token can then move to Operate.

Already issued a token elsewhere? Bring it with you.

Switching platforms usually means a migration, a re-issue and a holder spreadsheet.

Imported tokens lists everything you've brought in, on EVM chains and the XRP Ledger.

Pick the network, paste the contract, and Libertum reads the standard, name and supply from the chain.

Prove control: your on-chain role is found, you sign one message, and nothing on the contract changes.

Name the offering and import it.

The history is rebuilt from the chain and checked against it. The cap table is live.

Every transfer is in the journal, with pre-import entries marked external.

Investors claim their holdings: Anna signs once from her wallet, and her tokens never move.

The holding appears in her statements, read from the chain.

Your contracts stay yours. Libertum starts read-only and lists the roles to grant.

On EVM, grant them from your wallet and the token moves to Operate: issue, freeze, register identities, list for sale.

XRP Ledger and Cardano tokens import read-only, and history that can't be rebuilt is flagged.

For issuers and fund administrators: bring your tokens, and run them in one place. Book a demo at libertum.io.

Frequently asked questions

Is Centrifuge a white-label platform like Libertum?

Centrifuge’s documentation describes a Management app plus an SDK and API to build your own frontend; it does not describe a turnkey white-label. Libertum’s white-label platform, with your own brand and custom domain, is included in its Issuer, AM and Enterprise plans.

Which token standards does each use?

Centrifuge issues ERC-20 share tokens with ERC-4626, ERC-7540 and ERC-7575 vaults. Libertum issues ERC-3643, ERC-20 and ERC-721 on EVM networks, CIP-113 and CIP-20 on Cardano, and issued currencies and XLS-33 MPTs on the XRP Ledger.

Which is better for tokenized funds?

It depends on the role. Centrifuge offers fund operations (NAV, accounting, vaults) at protocol level for managers. Libertum Funds is software for fund administrators, who remain NAV calculation agent and transfer agent; Libertum is not the administrator.

Does either publish pricing?

Libertum publishes its plans and fees on its plan page. Centrifuge does not state pricing on its public website.

Which offers built-in investor wallets and sponsored gas, Libertum or Centrifuge?

Libertum includes platform-managed custodian wallets for investors and issuers on EVM networks, Cardano and the XRP Ledger (enabled per deployment), and investors pay no network fees at custodian checkout: gas is sponsored and billed to the offering’s issuer. Centrifuge’s documentation states that investors invest from their own wallets. Built-in investor wallets and sponsored gas are otherwise not publicly stated on the pages we reviewed.

Can I reach investors on other platforms with Libertum?

Yes. Through the Ecosystem Directory, an issuer can ask other Libertum-powered marketplaces to host its approved offering; once a host accepts, that platform’s investors can invest through the same token and cap table. Distribution Hub and Libby AI add an investor CRM and AI investor discovery.

Has Libertum's platform been independently security tested?

Independently penetration tested and audited by Hashlock — rated ‘Secure’ (Oct 2025 blackbox penetration test of the T-Suite web applications; no critical or high-severity findings), plus Hashlock smart-contract audits. See the audits and the penetration-test report. More on our security page.
